Boujie on a budget... Summed up like a real budget πŸ’ΈπŸ’²πŸ’Έ

In every blog post that I have posted I try by all means to make it easy and understandable to everyone who might come across and read the blog but I always stick to one specific topic. This week though will strictly be a switch up as well as a guideline of everything connected to being a boujie spender on a tight budget

The first and most important thing one should try to avoid is purchasing something they don't like just because it's cheap!! Do not... DO NOT turn yourself into a cheap-skate for the sake of saving and budgeting.  The problem behind buying something just because it is cheap is that you hardly see any value in it because more than often, chances are you will complain about it everytime because it will not be something you are satisfied with!

Another problem with buying the cheapest thing on the isle is that not times, these cheap things we buy are hardly of any good quality. This easily applies to make-up, shoes, alcohol, hair (mostly weave and wigs). An alternative to actually not being a cheap skate is to think about the future and whether the item is worthy of being spent on at that moment. A lovely message to always keep in your head that applies to your wallet is the two Q's... quality and quantity. A real boujie girl always never forgets the anthem...

Secondly - and this is especially for girls who fall in love at first sight - try not to buy things in impulse! Impulse buyers are the worst when it comes to budgeting. The only time that impulse spending is a serious problem is when one knows that they will not have enough money left after purchasing the item but they end up buying it either way. Yes one may argue that the reason why they will buy something on impulse is because they fear that if they don't buy it, next time the item might be out of stock but that does not justify the fact that impulse spending is an extremely bad habit. The reason why it's an extremely bad habit is not only because it hurts your budget but also becauss it is a hurdle from developing good financial practices in the long run.

Impulse spending can easily cause debt and in some cases, serious debt. Instead of buying things instantly, one should rather try by all means to wait until they know they really afford to buy the item with their budget. All in all, impulse spending is a big NO NO!

Another savy way to live a fabulous life on a budget is to know yourself and by that I mean a lot. Knowing yourself comes with knowing what you want, what you need, what you can do and what you can not do. Always remember that you are spending money for yourself and not others and of you apply that mindset, chances of you being in a sea of debt are very slim. An important element to to keep in mind as a boujie girl is that everything you do is for you and not a show off to others. Your biggest down fall will be trying to prove a point as well as competing. Instead of looking at others live your life with your budget to the absolute fullest.

I truly hope this has been helpful to the most you all and if there's one last message that I would like to leave you with, it is that looking good doesn't necessarily mean your bank account shouldn't. Everything should balance when done the boujie way!

A boujie way of celebrating 🍾🍾

Hi guys! This past weekend has been all sorts of busy but very fun, from attenting a pre birthday celebration to a 21st birthday party and an after party! In between all of that fun I've had to buy presents and outfits to look good but I've also had to spend every cent that I have properly and strategically. After the weekend I had u thought to myself that it would be such a great idea to talk about spending for birthday dinners and lunches with gifts included. Every girl wants to look gorgeous around other people, especially if it's around a crowd that knows you very well. The first thing one needs to do when going to such celebrations is to still stick to the theme if specified, so let's talk shopping for the occasion. When shopping for an occasion, it is quite important to buy something that you feel comfortable in. Yes some things might look nicer but comfort comes first because no one likes wasting money on clothes that don't suit them. Secondly, it

The three killer words... BACK TO SCHOOL

Ever had one of those days where you find yourself having the most amazing time with your squad then one of you suddenly remembers that you guys are actually students and holidays are almost over? I'm sure you have. Then one of you also remembers that school requires money to be spent? It is those three killer words - BACK TO SCHOOL - that remind us that we need to start budgeting for the new acedemic year. Over the past years, I've learnt that we don't really need to pressure ourselves too much seeing that there are things such as SALES!! And famous deals such as "Buy 2 and get the cheapest one free" from your favorite stores.  Let's get through how to start off the year on an amazing note in terms of both finance and academics.  On the top of todays list we have BOOKS BOOKS AND SOME MORE BOOKS. These could either be textbooks or writing books. While most textbooks are quite expensive at bookshops there are times where the textbook you need for th
