The three killer words... BACK TO SCHOOL

Ever had one of those days where you find yourself having the most amazing time with your squad then one of you suddenly remembers that you guys are actually students and holidays are almost over? I'm sure you have. Then one of you also remembers that school requires money to be spent?

It is those three killer words - BACK TO SCHOOL - that remind us that we need to start budgeting for the new acedemic year. Over the past years, I've learnt that we don't really need to pressure ourselves too much seeing that there are things such as SALES!! And famous deals such as "Buy 2 and get the cheapest one free" from your favorite stores.

Let's get through how to start off the year on an amazing note in terms of both finance and academics.

On the top of todays list we have BOOKS BOOKS AND SOME MORE BOOKS. These could either be textbooks or writing books. While most textbooks are quite expensive at bookshops there are times where the textbook you need for that academic year was used by someone else in the previous year. So why go to the bookshop when you could opt for buying a textbook you need at a much cheaper price. When buying from someone else, it'll obviously be a second hand and maybe not in the great condition as it was when the person first had it. There is really nothing tape, glue and !!!!! can't fix. I mean, that way, you'll be saving some more money which will be amazing for you but also giving someone else money.

There's nothing that motivates my group of friends and I as stationary!!! Some of us love purple, some pink and some yellow. We have special pens which carry great sentiments and because of that we it might see them as a little something that keep us focused on our ultimate goals. Now it doesn't have to be a pen or something but it will add some value if one has something special they carry as "stationary" that will assist them in reaching their full potential!

University is definately not a fashion show but a place where adolescenes tend to find themselves and who they really are. It is a great space for those who want to express themselves through all shots of things. Luckily there's this thing called fashion which has no rights and no wrongs, just statements. So I'd advise students to not shop to look good everyday, to not try and impress others but shop with a mindset of expression and something you love won't be too much to pay!

Most students live on monthly allowances which could vary from roughly about R500 to R4000. There's a huge gap between the little R500 and R4000 but no matter how huge the gap is, the best thing you'll ever do for yourself is to set up a monthly budget. A budget whereby you state the amount of money you receive and all your expenses. It is very important to keep track of how and what you spend your money on which is why the link below could essentially help you in spending money wisely as a university student.

Just because being boujie means buying the more luxurious things in life, it also has a saving side to it. Think about it, if you save on one end by being a savy shopper, then chances of you affording nicer things in life are sky rocket!

A boujie way of celebrating 🍾🍾

Hi guys! This past weekend has been all sorts of busy but very fun, from attenting a pre birthday celebration to a 21st birthday party and an after party! In between all of that fun I've had to buy presents and outfits to look good but I've also had to spend every cent that I have properly and strategically. After the weekend I had u thought to myself that it would be such a great idea to talk about spending for birthday dinners and lunches with gifts included. Every girl wants to look gorgeous around other people, especially if it's around a crowd that knows you very well. The first thing one needs to do when going to such celebrations is to still stick to the theme if specified, so let's talk shopping for the occasion. When shopping for an occasion, it is quite important to buy something that you feel comfortable in. Yes some things might look nicer but comfort comes first because no one likes wasting money on clothes that don't suit them. Secondly, it

Boujie on a budget... Summed up like a real budget πŸ’ΈπŸ’²πŸ’Έ

In every blog post that I have posted I try by all means to make it easy and understandable to everyone who might come across and read the blog but I always stick to one specific topic. This week though will strictly be a switch up as well as a guideline of everything connected to being a boujie spender on a tight budget The first and most important thing one should try to avoid is purchasing something they don't like just because it's cheap!! Do not... DO NOT turn yourself into a cheap-skate for the sake of saving and budgeting.  The problem behind buying something just because it is cheap is that you hardly see any value in it because more than often, chances are you will complain about it everytime because it will not be something you are satisfied with! Another problem with buying the cheapest thing on the isle is that not times, these cheap things we buy are hardly of any good quality. This easily applies to make-up, shoes, alcohol, hair (mostly weave and wigs). An
